Pain Management in Addison, TX
Clearway Pain Solutions treats chronic and acute pain from our Addison clinic on the Dallas North Tollway, the closest of our three Texas clinics to north Dallas, Carrollton, Coppell and Irving. Two physicians see patients here, and both are fellowship trained in interventional pain medicine, which is the specialty built around finding the source of pain and treating it directly.
What We Treat
For back and neck pain, our physicians treat herniated and degenerating discs, facet joint arthritis, spinal stenosis, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, sciatica and radiating leg pain, and back pain that has continued after spine surgery.
Beyond the spine, our physicians treat joint pain in the knees, hips, shoulders and elbows, including osteoarthritis and bursitis. They treat nerve pain and peripheral neuropathy, including diabetic neuropathy and nerve pain that persists after an operation. They treat headaches and migraine, pelvic pain, cancer related pain, fibromyalgia, and pain that followed a car accident or a workplace injury.
Our condition library goes through each of these in more detail.
How the First Visit Works
Pain that has lasted months is usually not one thing, and the same low back ache can come from several different structures. That is why the first appointment is an evaluation rather than a treatment. Your physician examines you, takes a full history of the pain including what makes it better and worse, reviews whatever imaging and records you bring, and talks through what the pain is keeping you from doing.
Where the source is genuinely unclear, a diagnostic injection can confirm which structure is producing the pain before you commit to a longer course of treatment. The goal is for you to leave the first visit with a working diagnosis and a first step. Procedures are scheduled separately.
Treatment plans here typically combine several things rather than relying on one. That might mean an interventional procedure alongside physical therapy, medication management where it is appropriate, and a plan for getting activity back.
