Pain Management in Texas

Clearway Pain Solutions treats chronic and acute pain from our Flower Mound clinic in Central Park, serving Denton County and the communities around it including Lewisville, Argyle, Coppell, Grapevine, Southlake and Denton. Our work here is diagnostic before it is anything else. If you have been told your pain is something you will have to live with, or you have been passed between providers without a clear explanation, that is the problem this clinic exists to solve

Back Pain Doctors in Flower Mound

Back pain is one of the most common reasons patients come to a pain clinic, and it is rarely one thing. The same ache across the low back can come from a herniated or bulging disc, from arthritis in the facet joints along the spine, from narrowing of the spinal canal, from the sacroiliac joint where the spine meets the pelvis, or from muscle and soft tissue that has been compensating for one of the above for years.

Those causes respond to different treatments, which is why guessing is expensive. Our physician examines you, reviews your imaging, and where the source is genuinely unclear will use a diagnostic injection to confirm which structure is generating the pain before committing to a longer course of treatment. The plan that follows might involve epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, sacroiliac joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, physical therapy, medication management, or a combination.

Neck pain, upper back pain and pain that radiates into the shoulder, arm or hand follow the same logic. Cervical radiculopathy and disc displacement are both well covered in our condition library.

Chronic Pain Care in Denton County

Pain that has lasted longer than three months behaves differently than a new injury, and it is treated differently. The nervous system adapts, sleep degrades, activity drops, and the pain stops tracking the original tissue damage. Treating it well means addressing the source where a source can be found and addressing the way the pain has established itself where it cannot.

That is the case for a pain specialist rather than a general practitioner. Fellowship trained interventional pain physicians spend an additional year after residency doing nothing but this, and the procedures that interrupt a chronic pain cycle, from nerve blocks through spinal cord stimulation, sit inside that specialty.

Other Conditions Treated Here

Joint pain in the knees, hips, shoulders and elbows, whether it comes from osteoarthritis, bursitis or an old injury. Nerve pain and peripheral neuropathy, including diabetic neuropathy and nerve pain that persists after surgery. Sciatica and other radiating leg pain. Headaches and migraine. Hand and wrist pain including carpal tunnel syndrome. Fibromyalgia and widespread pain. Pain following a car accident or a workplace injury. Cancer related pain.

Our full condition library covers each of these in more depth.

Your First Visit

We respond to appointment requests within 24 hours. Verifying your benefits and getting you scheduled usually takes about five days from that first contact, and first appointments are typically available 7 to 12 days out.

Ahead of the visit you will receive an email or text from Phreesia with your new patient paperwork. Plan to arrive 45 minutes early. Bring an unexpired government issued photo ID, your insurance cards, a referral from your primary care provider if your plan requires one, records from any previous pain physician, and any recent imaging or reports.

The first appointment is an evaluation. Expect a physical exam, a detailed history of the pain including what makes it better and worse, a review of whatever imaging you bring, and a conversation about what you are no longer able to do. The goal is for you to leave with a working diagnosis and a first step. Procedures are scheduled separately.
