Clearway Pain Solutions treats Texas patients at three Dallas Fort Worth clinics, in Addison, Flower Mound and Richardson. Two physicians see patients across those locations, and both are fellowship trained in interventional pain medicine.
That training is worth understanding, because it is the difference between a physician who manages pain and one who is trained to locate it. Interventional pain medicine is a subspecialty entered after a full residency in another field, and the fellowship year is spent on image guided diagnosis and treatment: finding which nerve, joint or disc is producing a patient’s pain, confirming it, and treating that structure directly. Both of our Texas physicians completed that fellowship, and each came into it from a different clinical background.
Interventional Pain Medicine and Emergency Medicine. Sees patients in Addison and Richardson.
Dr. Hashemi is one of the few physicians in the country double board certified in Emergency Medicine and Interventional Pain Medicine. He is a Dallas area graduate, earning his Bachelor of Science with honors from Southern Methodist University, and received his medical degree with honors from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Kendall Regional Medical Center in Miami, where he served as Chief Resident, then an ACGME accredited fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the University of Illinois in Chicago. His fellowship training covers fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided injections, neuromodulation and minimally invasive spinal interventions.
The emergency medicine half of that background is not incidental. Years of work in Level 1 trauma centers gave him firsthand experience with pain from traumatic injuries, falls, motor vehicle accidents and work related injuries, and with the long wait times and ineffective treatments patients often describe before they reach a pain specialist.
His approach is multidisciplinary by design, addressing the mind and body together rather than the symptom alone. Depending on the patient that can mean educational counseling, pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy, physical therapy and rehabilitation, and minimally invasive interventions.
Dr. Hashemi has received national competition honors and a Resident of the Year award, and his research has appeared in peer reviewed journals and been presented at major medical conferences.

Interventional Pain Management and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Sees patients in Addison and Flower Mound.
Dr. Yasin is a board certified physician specializing in interventional pain management and physical medicine and rehabilitation, with close to two decades of experience treating chronic and acute pain. He earned his medical degree at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, where he also completed his residency training and served as Chief Resident, then completed a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the Center for Advanced Pain Management and Rehabilitation in New Jersey.
Over his career he has held leadership roles in both private practice and academic medical centers, most recently as Head of Interventional Pain Management at Stony Brook Community Medicine and Long Island Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine.
He is highly proficient in ultrasound guided injections, EMG and NCV studies, and a wide range of spine and joint interventions, and he treats musculoskeletal, neuropathic and spinal conditions. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the New York Society of PM&R, and he builds treatment plans around patient education and evidence based care.

Many patients arriving at a pain clinic have already seen other providers. The useful question at that point is not who is nearest but what the physician is trained to do. A pain physician who is fellowship trained in interventional pain medicine can order and read the diagnostic work, perform image guided injections and nerve procedures, and manage medication as one part of a plan rather than the whole of it.
If you are coming with imaging and records from another physician, bring them. Much of the first visit is reviewing what has already been tried and what it showed.

It means that after completing a full residency, the physician spent an additional accredited year training specifically in diagnosing and treating pain with image guided procedures. Both of our Texas physicians completed that fellowship, Dr. Hashemi at the University of Illinois in Chicago and Dr. Yasin in New Jersey.
