Mariam Hameed, MD

Dr. Mariam Hameed is a double board-certified physician who has specialized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from the prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital and subspecialized in Interventional Pain Management from the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard University. She was previously an assistant professor at George Washington University for four years.

She has served on Women In Neuromodulation Committee of the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS), Board of Directors, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP); served as a reviewer for Pain Medicine Journal and Maryland Medical Board; given lectures at national pain society meetings including American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ASRA); authored numerous book chapters and publications; and has spent years lobbying on Capitol Hill to maintain access to care for her patients.

Interests include chronic spinal pain, neuropathies, neuromodulation, musculoskeletal disorders and joint pain, stem cell therapies and vertebral compression fractures.
