Dr. Colin Mychak, an esteemed pain management specialist, is a physician at our new Hagerstown, Maryland clinic. Dr. Mychak brings a wealth of expertise and a compassionate approach to pain relief, specializing in minimally invasive techniques that offer patients effective solutions.
Dr. Mychak’s journey in medicine began at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Carolinas Campus, where he earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine. He honed his skills and deepened his knowledge through a family practice residency at Oklahoma State University at Comanche County Memorial Hospital, followed by an ACGME-accredited Pain Medicine Fellowship at Larkin Community Hospital.
With a career marked by dedication and innovation, Dr. Mychak has served as an attending physician at Comprehensive Pain Consultants of the Carolinas and previously at Comanche County Memorial Hospital’s Pain Management Clinic. His approach focuses on a comprehensive evaluation and management of chronic pain, emphasizing function-based goals and minimizing dependency on opioids. Dr. Mychak is adept in a variety of procedures, including fluoroscopically guided injections and office-based injections, which are pivotal in his practice.
Dr. Mychak is board certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and holds active physician licenses in Florida, Oklahoma, and North Carolina. His commitment to advancing in his field is evident through his active involvement with professional bodies such as the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and the North American Neuromodulation Society.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Mychak enjoys spending quality time with his family and engaging in hobbies such as playing guitar, biking, and target shooting.
