Dr. Mkandawire is Board Certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and is a Licensed Physical Therapist. She is a graduate of Russell Sage College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. She received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Osteopathic Medicine.

She completed her residency at Temple University Hospital/Moss Rehab, where she was selected to serve as Chief Resident. Dr. Mkandawire has a strong background in physical therapy, exercise, and osteopathic manual medicine. She encourages patients to find inner strength as a tool for seeking health and wellness.
