Dr. Ira Kornbluth is the President of Clearway Pain Solutions and a recognized leader in interventional pain management. With over 20 years of clinical and executive experience, he has played a pivotal role in shaping Clearway into the largest integrated pain management platform in the United States.

Dr. Kornbluth earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident. He went on to complete a fellowship in Pain Management at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and is board-certified in both Pain Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (FAAPMR) and served on the Maryland Board of Physicians for many years.

In 2008, Dr. Kornbluth founded and was the CEO of SMART Pain Management. SMART Pain Management merged with Kure Pain Management to become KureSMART, ultimately evolving into Clearway Pain Solutions. As President, he leads de novo growth, compliance, provider recruitment, the development of ancillary service lines and various other aspects of Clearway.

Dr. Kornbluth frequently presents to physicians and business leaders on pain management and business development matters. His writings have been published in medical journals, medical websites and textbooks. He stays up to date by serving on the editorial boards of medical publications related to his specialty. He has been recognized as one of the country’s 60 most influential healthcare leaders.
