Jesse Lou, MD is a Double Board-Certified Rehabilitation and Interventional Pain specialist with a comprehensive background in non-surgical spine and musculoskeletal medicine. After Dr. Lou graduated with Highest Honors in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, he went to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard Medical School for exercise metabolism research. He earned his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, followed by a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at William Beaumont University Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year.

After completing his residency, Dr. Lou returned to Thomas Jefferson University for a fellowship in Interventional Pain, further honing his expertise in musculoskeletal pain management techniques. His commitment to advancing the field is reflected in his active research contributions. In July 2024, he authored a study on sacroiliac joint injection. Additionally, he authored two review articles in 2025 on biologic therapies for discogenic pain and the role of capsaicin in the management of peripheral neuropathy.

Dr. Lou is dedicated to crafting personalized care plans that optimize patient outcomes, emphasizing a multimodal approach to enhance functional improvement. His extensive experience in musculoskeletal medicine equips him to employ a variety of rehabilitation tools and minimally invasive techniques for pain modulation across diverse areas, including the head, neck, back, shoulders, hips, knees, feet, pelvis, and more. Dr. Lou has a special interest in spinal cord stimulators/neuromodulation, radiofrequency ablations, ultrasound-guided joint injections, and electrodiagnostic studies (EMGs).

Dr. Lou balances his professional life with a passion for kickboxing and volleyball, reflecting his commitment to both personal and patient wellness.
