Kim was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio where she lived until moving to Maryland in 2017. She has been a Physician Assistant since 2001 when she received her undergraduate degree in Applied Health Sciences/Physician Assistant Studies from The Kettering College of Medical Arts. She then went on to obtain her Master of Science degree in Family and Emergency Medicine from A.T. Still University. Prior to Pain Management Kim has worked in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine and Oncology at The James Cancer Hospital at OSU.

She and her husband travel frequently to spend time with family and enjoy SCUBA diving, cooking, bicycling, antiquing and music.
