Laura Miller brings to Clearway over 30 years of experience in the field of Physical Therapy, including working in acute, subacute, outpatient, and long-term care settings. She became interested in PT in high school when she entered an exploratory health occupations program resulting in a Physical Therapy Aide job at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Upon graduation, she was eager to pursue a career in which she could help people relieve their pain, regain function, and enjoy life again. She has especially enjoyed working with patients recovering from cerebral vascular accidents and the senior population. Laura strongly believes in a proactive approach in addressing pain and mobility issues and encourages people not to wait for severe limitations or falls to occur before seeking help.
Laura graduated with honors from the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Northern Virginia Community College with an Associates of Applied Science Degree in 1989. She is trained in the Otago Exercise Program for fall prevention.
Laura and her husband, Curtis, have enjoyed watching their three children grow into young adulthood. In her spare time, she enjoys working with youth, traveling, hiking, and birdwatching.
