Dr. Matthew Spinks is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician with advanced training in interventional pain management. He brings over a decade of clinical experience to Clearway Pain Solutions, where he is dedicated to helping patients restore function and find relief from chronic and acute pain.
Dr. Spinks earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch and completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He is currently completing a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the University of Virginia. Earlier in his career, he also completed training in Anesthesiology at Washington University’s Barnes-Jewish Hospital Consortium.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Spinks has contributed to medical research and education, delivering lectures and presenting at national conferences on topics such as post-stroke pain, complications of spinal cord injuries, and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). He has also served on patient safety and quality improvement committees and remains engaged in professional efforts to advance the field of pain medicine.
Dr. Spinks is committed to using evidence-based treatments, including minimally invasive procedures, to address a broad spectrum of pain conditions. His approach emphasizes restoring mobility, improving quality of life, and supporting each patient’s individual goals.
