Mohamed Ahmed, MD, is an experienced physician at Clearway Pain Solutions, serving patients in both Delaware and Maryland. With over two decades of experience in anesthesiology, pain management, and critical care, Dr. Ahmed offers a comprehensive and compassionate approach to treating chronic pain and improving the quality of life for his patients.

 

Dr. Ahmed earned his medical degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt, and has since completed extensive training in the United States. He is board-certified in Anesthesiology, Pain Management, and Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology. His fellowship training includes pain management at the University of Chicago, where he gained expertise in a wide range of interventional pain procedures, such as nerve blocks, epidural and caudal injections, and spinal cord stimulation, among others.

 

Before joining Clearway Pain Solutions in 2014, Dr. Ahmed held significant roles in the field of anesthesiology and pain management. He served as an anesthesiologist and pain specialist at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, DE, and as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. These roles provided him with a solid foundation in both the academic and clinical aspects of pain management.

 

Dr. Ahmed is a seasoned expert in managing a variety of musculoskeletal, neuropathic, and spinal pain conditions. His approach is multidisciplinary, focusing on both invasive and non-invasive therapies, as well as patient education, to achieve the best possible outcomes. He combines his advanced skills in pain management with a deep commitment to improving the overall well-being of his patients.
