Nathan was born and raised on a farm in Southern Maryland. He attended Towson University in Towson Maryland where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. While enrolled at Towson, he simultaneously earned his United States Coastguard 100 ton inland masters captains license.
After graduation from Towson University, Nathan conducted research in neurology at the Baltimore VA Medical Center, working closely with Parkinson’s disease, stroke, and other neurological diseases. He then attended Anne Arundel Community College/St. Francis University’s joint physician assistant program where he earned both his physician assistant certification and a Master of Medical Science.
While at AACC/St. Francis, Nathan accrued over 2,500 clinical practice hours in specialties including interventional pain management, orthopedic surgery, family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry, and OB/GYN. He did his final clinical rotation with KureSmart Pain Management and was hired in October of 2015. When not taking care of patients, Nate enjoys weightlifting, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
