Rosemary Edger, PT, is a highly experienced Physical Therapist at Clearway Pain Solutions in Maryland, bringing over four decades of expertise in the field of physical therapy. With a solid foundation from the University of Maryland, School of Allied Health Professions, Rosemary has dedicated her career to enhancing patient mobility, reducing pain, and improving overall functionality through personalized treatment plans.
Rosemary’s professional journey began at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she was deeply involved in developing pre- and post-operative protocols for total joint replacement surgeries and contributed to medical education through professional lectures. Her role expanded significantly in 1982 when she founded Edger Therapy, P.A. in Greenbelt, MD, serving as the Owner and CEO. Here, she has focused on providing comprehensive physical therapy services to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, utilizing evidence-based practices to achieve dynamic outcomes.
In addition to her clinical practice, Rosemary has also led The Center for Work Injury Prevention, where she was instrumental in assessing physical risks at various workplaces, conducting ergonomic team training, and developing long-term injury prevention strategies. Her approach is characterized by a keen focus on work injury prevention and risk analysis, making her a leader in occupational health within the physical therapy community.
Rosemary is proficient in a range of therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, IASTM, McConnell Orthopaedic Taping, Kinesiology Taping, and manual lymphatic drainage, among others. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Instructor and is skilled in Pilates and other movement/exercise therapies, which she integrates into her practice to enhance patient outcomes.
