Dr. Hibler is Board Certified in pain management and clinical psychology and is Nationally Certified in biofeedback and clinical hypnosis. An Ohio State University graduate, he served in Air Force Medical Centers, where he directed the Armed Forces Alcohol Treatment Facility for Asia and led behavioral medicine services. During his military career, he held similar roles in Europe as well. At the National Security Agency, Dr. Hibler founded the largest Employee Assistance Program in the government and served as the Deputy Medical Director.
For over two decades, he has been practicing in Baltimore and has been on the staff of Johns Hopkins, Kernan Rehabilitation, and National Rehabilitation hospitals. Dr. Hibler served as Chief Psychologist at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital, with appointments in rehabilitation medicine and psychiatry. Dr. Hibler is a frequent presenter at local and national professional meetings on pain, trauma, addiction and related workers’ compensation treatment issues. During his distinguished career, he has served on the faculty of Loyola University and he directed the first Functional Restoration Program in Maryland.
